Education is one of our core beliefs here at DHG and we take every opportunity to build upon our knowledge of bespoke pressure care and share it with our delegates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sessions were held by our Brand Ambassador Ellie Bircher, who provided insightful knowledge into the specialist seating market. Ellie has experience of over 10 years in the NHS and social care sector and specialises in: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Housing support assessments<\/li><li>Ergonomic assessments<\/li><li>Equipment assessment and provisions<\/li><li>Moving &amp; handling issues <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ellie showcased the ways in which the Kirton brand can aid individuals with the most complex spinal needs as well as provide excellent pressure care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each day consisted of three sessions aimed at discussing different topics within the brand: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Session one <\/em>\u2013<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <\/span><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Principles of Seating\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Why is Seating Important?<\/li><li>Identifying Pressure Needs<\/li><li>Causes of Pressure Damage<\/li><li>Normal Posture &amp; Postural Changes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Session two<\/em> \u2013 <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Assessment of Complex Seating Needs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Transferring Your Client<\/li><li>Provisions for Pressure Management<\/li><li>Chair Functions<\/li><li>Measuring Clients<\/li><li>Chair Accessories<\/li><li>Reviewing Provision &amp; Non-Compliance<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Session three <\/em>\u2013 <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Case Discussion &amp; Practical<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Final statements and opportunity for delegates to product test. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to all delegates who attended the event.
