Direct Healthcare picked up the Excellence In Supply Award, “Peoples Choice Award”,\u00a0<\/b>hosted by Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The coveted awards ceremony was held at the DW stadium in Wigan and was attended by key Trust personnel and shortlisted suppliers alike, all who have demonstrated outstanding achievements throughout 2011 for recognised excellence in the supply chain provision. The “Peoples Choice” category award was voted for by Trust employees who identified an outstanding supplier who had made the most significant contribution to the Trust in terms of service, support and value for money, resulting in the contribution to the delivery of excellent patient care throughout 2011.<\/p>\n
Director Neil Smith, who collected the award on behalf of Direct Healthcare, paid tribute to WWL for creating such an innovative approach towards recognising supplier\u2019s efforts, whilst simultaneously understanding the difficult circumstances in which the NHS and indeed suppliers face for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n
