Direct Healthcare wins NHS Excellence In Supply Award

Direct Healthcare picked up the Excellence In Supply Award, «Peoples Choice Award», hosted by Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The coveted awards ceremony was held at the DW stadium in Wigan and was attended by key Trust personnel and shortlisted suppliers alike, all who have demonstrated outstanding achievements throughout 2011 for recognised excellence in the supply chain provision. The «Peoples Choice» category award was voted for by Trust employees who identified an outstanding supplier who had made the most significant contribution to the Trust in terms of service, support and value for money, resulting in the contribution to the delivery of excellent patient care throughout 2011.

Director Neil Smith, who collected the award on behalf of Direct Healthcare, paid tribute to WWL for creating such an innovative approach towards recognising supplier’s efforts, whilst simultaneously understanding the difficult circumstances in which the NHS and indeed suppliers face for the foreseeable future.

The Trust commented «As a progressive, dynamic and performance driven Trust, we demand exceptional service provision from our suppliers. To acknowledge and champion the conviction required in the delivery of the standards we set, Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust leads the very first annual Excellence in Supply Awards event».

The awards recognise the efforts made by suppliers in achieving the objectives set by the Trust, identify the importance of exceptional supplier performance in today’s demanding and volatile environment and appreciate supplier adaptability in managing the unprecedented financial pressures of the Trust. Well done to Direct Healthcare for winning this highly credible award”.
