Increasing awareness and understanding surrounding pressure ulcer prevention and management is an aim that Direct Healthcare Group champion to prevent this recognised patient harm. Our aim is underpinned by the introduction of a second Pressure Area Care Ethos Education Webcast series to provide training support and information for clinicians and healthcare providers.

About Jacqui Fletcher OBE
Jacqui Fletcher OBE is an independent nurse consultant and is currently contracted to help develop strategic projects at NHSI for NHS England. Jacqui has held various senior positions including Senior Professional Tutor in the Section of Wound Healing, Department of Dermatology and Wound Healing, Cardiff University, and Principal Lecturer in The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Hertfordshire and has recently been awarded an OBE for her services to wound care.

Jacqui has worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability in an integrated Trust in West Yorkshire from 1992–1996 and as Professional Development Lead for Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust from 1996–1997.
In 1997 Jacqui moved into the Higher Education sector where she has lead both a BSc and MSc in Tissue Viability. She is an advisor for the Royal College of Nursing and actively participates in many projects for
the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).
